Default G-tech comp

I got a gtech competition meter for my pops for his b-day today. I got it all calibrated and took it over to a couple of straights to make some fun runs in the pig. I only did 3 passes, so I didn't get to play around with launching the truck too much. The road was slightly damp so the 60' times were total **** lol. On my first run which was a very very slight downhill grade, I managed a 2.74 60 foot time! lmao! I didn't hold the rpm's up much on launch, so that's why it's so shitty...also having a 4.8 with 3.42's and 20's doesn't help at all. My 0-60 wasn't horrible compared to the 60', at around 7.7 seconds. And the 1/8 mile was somewhere in the low to mid 10's with a 72mph trap speed if i recall. That tells me that out of the hole my trucks a total dog, and once it gets moving it goes alright for what it has. Also the very slight downhill grade may have thrown thing off. On my second and third runs I tried stalling it up quite a bit, but came away with tire squeal becuase of the dampness. This G-tech meter is a pretty cool little gadget. I'm pretty amazed as to what it can do, just by plugging the thing into a cigarette lighter.

i have the g-tech comp pro too. cool toy. my 60' times are pretty bad too. around 2.6-2.7. had some wheel spin though. my 0-60 was around the low-mid 7's. 1/8 was in the 10's.

Cool. Yeah, you must be getting a decent amount of wheel spin for your 60' foot to be 2.6-2.7 with those mods. I'm going to re-test on friday when the wheather clears up, I gotta at least hit a 2.5 60'. The hp and tourqe reading was fairly low on the one run that I checked. I realize it's at the wheels, but I was only getting 195hp at 5250rpm and 210 lbs/ft of tourqe at 4450, I may have entered a slightly low value for the weight of the truck throwing off the power figures, so I'll go by lyncso (sp) and get it weighed soon. The hp/tourqe plots seemed to be laid out really accurately though, I was reading above 200 lbs/ft of tourqe at 2000rpm which seems quite believable. The blue screen looks pretty tite when it's dark outside, it almost looks like a boost controller or some **** to scare off the ricers lol.

i programmed my truck weight (5400 lbs) in order to compute HP. i think i got something like 225 HP and 262 TQ. that was before the yank. i like the blue screen at night as well. matches my dash and Clarion MP3 player

Ooo lots of pretty blue lol. Anyway, I tried again today and I was able to get a 2.71 60' with a 15.71 1/4 mile (forgot the mph) in 55 degree weather I would guess. At least I broke the 16 second barrier a few times gee. That's with a hair under a half tank of gas. I was going to try again tonight, but don't feel like getting another ticket right now lol. In a couple of days I'll try with a real light fuel load, no spare, and cold dense air at night. Hopefully I can get a low 15 second run. I'll try with the e-cut out open and closed, as well as the ram air set up plugged and unplugged. I know that with the cut out open, low end it's a dog. Traction is no issue for me with the shitty *** elcectronic tb on the 03's, tq management, 4.8, and 20's. Launching the thing is goofey, if I give it a little too much gas or hammer once I let off the brakes when powerbraking, it will kind of bog a little. When gently applying the throttle versus mashing the result is .1 to .2 faster in the 60' It must be that shitty TQ management and electronic tb. It does move decent once it get rolling though. The 30-50 was 2.39 seconds, which is about what a Subaru WRX runs. Maybe that's why I didn't get killed by that lightning I was playing witha few months back, from a 30mph roll on a 3-1 downshift up to 50 lol. One time I got caught doing a little under 40, damn did he smoke me lmao. Aerodynamics I can tell by the graphs really comes into play past 50 though, it's like hitting a brick wall.
