Default Found a shift kit in my closet

I have a Trans-Go Shift kit, corvette servo, and a tranny cooler sitting in a box in my closet. I was going to install it on my '96 v6 camaro a few years ago but I never did since I sold it and bought my Hawk. Will this kit work on my truck and would it be benificial to install? This is my daily driver and I use it to tow/haul on weekends so I don't really have any desire to race it, but if it will improve the life and power of my transmission I'm willing to deal with rough shifts.

I am pretty sure it will work in your truck, and I would definetly install it. Really the shifts aren't too rough, depending on how you set it up.

I'd be letting a shop install it. I'd really like to improve it's towing ability. I know the tranny cooler at least will help out a lot with towing. I can also get rid of torque managment after the shift kit right?

ya you can do that, deleting torque management will let you get a little more power from the tranny. If i were you, i would tell who ever is intalling it to leave out the washers for the 1-2 shift so it doesnt break your neck, lol. Plus you want it to tow some so no washers would be best.

Yep, alot of guys do the Transgo, vette 1-2 servo, and billet OD servo at the same time. Corvette aluminum accum pistons are another nice upgrade. (the original accum pistons are plastic and have a tendency to crack/leak)
