Default Forged Pistons and Stock Rods?

My buddy has got a 5.3l with a maggie and is going to overbore it with some wiseco forged pistons, but is wanting to use stock rods. Is this combo ok? It will be balanced. A set of rods is pretty expensive and his stock ones look good, so is there any reason to upgrade? What will the stock rods handle hp wise? It will get ARP rod bolts.

Stock are ok if you not wanting to spin the crap out of them, especially if they are 05+, but if he's going forged pistons might as well get some better rods too. He can get some forged Scat I-beam rods for about $280 from jegs. That's what I have in mine.
