Default Flex-a-lite fans

Sure would love to get some electric fans but dont have the $$. What about the Flex-a-lite flex fans? Are they an improvment over stock?

Yeah they are good fans. I used two of their 12 inchers on my 99 S-10 with a vortec 350 and they worked great. It ran right at 180 or around 195 with the AC on. And that was with the factory V6 radiator.

Hey Qikslvr, See the post E fans? There is some good info in there. As far as your truck is concerned, I would reccomend the flexalite 295's. Designed to fit your radiator and it comes with the Variable Speed Controller. You can find where to get it on that thread. I believe it was www.truckperformance.com, but you may want to check. The price from there is 367. Not too bad I thought. Hope this helps.

If cash is an issue than the Flexalites might not be your best choices as they are probably the most expensive of the e-fan bunch. Look on E-bay for a set of used LT1 or LS1 fans and buy a fan controller.

I think he is talking about flex fans to replace the stock fan. They replace the stock fan. Blades flaten out at high rpm to reduce drag. I thought about trying this but don't want a fan blade flying through the hood
