Parish8 how are you mixing the xylene in your truck? I'm wanting to try some in my Tahoe it sounds cheaper than 104 unleaded.

 

Hey do a search. I posted up some stuff on how to make race gas and such. Use Toulene or Xylene. $2-5/gal the more you buy the cheaper it gets. I explained how to make higher octane, mixing, etc.

i fill the truck to what i think is about 10 gallons of 92. i put 20 oz of tranny fluid in a 5 gallon gas can, dump about 2 1/2 gallons of xylene in the can and then dump that in my truck, then i take the other 2 1/2 gallons and dump that in the gas can and then into the truck. i drive it for 20minutes or so before i beat on it, give it pleanty of time to mix around.

it has alowed me to go from 6psi up to 9psi with no knock retard. doing a search would get you more info on my experineces with xylene, there was a post in the forced induction section not long ago.

 

oh yea, i pay $21 for a 5 gallon can of xylene, that makes a 99.5octane mix come out to something like $2.70/gallon.

 

Thanks Parish8 I've got 5 gallons of xylene ready to go in the tank right now.Do you run the mix all the time or just when you're going out to play?

 

i set myself up with 15 gallons of mix on friday and when/if it runs out i just go with 92 till the next friday, i usualy end up driving around a day or 2 with 92 and the high boost pully and have to keep my foot out of it then.
