Default FIPK Install and freakin problems....

Not with the FIPK but the upper radiator hose. The bitch started leaking right on start up eventhough I didn't do anything to it. It appears that the factory clamp that holds it on the neck on the motor is not tight enough. IF I wiggle the hose hard enough I can make it squirt out. I cleaned it up and drove it and it leaked some. Gonna change the clamp tomorrow to a screw clamp type and see if it leaks. Good time to do the BB to the stat mod. Anyone else ever have it leak?

Edit: I know we have don't have tough rules but lets leave the "F" bombs out of the title please.

Hey John, I plan on doing the stock thermostat mod with the BB in it. Its supposed to make it close to a 160 degree. I was planning on do it tomorrow since I have to dump the coolant to fix the upper hose. Pissed me off about the hose leaking. Its not the hose on the thermostat housing its the one that hooks on the head. Just starts seaping out. Gonna work on it tomorrow. I will give you a call this weekend so we can hook up.

BTW, sorry about the F bomb, it won't happen again.

Why you going back to the 180 degree? For $20 bucks I will buy it. Was it used before you got it?

That your cell? I am gonna save it in my phone. I have work until about 6:30 pm tomorrow night. I can come by after that. I am gonna have to change a hose clamp and may need a grinder to get the factory one off. You guys have a grinder and thin wheel up there? What about pink coolant? I can bring some. I just hope my POS doesn't dump all the fluid out on the freeway!
