Alright this is the deal, I called Thorley's cust serv and the guy told me that they had a buch of them with that problem (I think probably all of them) and that they just drilled out the holes a couple of sizes till they fit. So thats what I did, I bolted up the drivers side, it almost hits the steering shaft, how did you Thorley owners fix that problem?? Now I'm working on the pass side, I already drilled the holes out but I cant get it to squeeze in there, do you think I need to renove the motor mount bolts or what?? I was thinking I could take out the 3 cab bolts on that side and jack up the cab, that might give me the room I need. Also what do you guys think I should do with the rest of the exhaust because if I finnishe these suckers tonight I'm bringing it tomorrow if I can. THANKS!!

The O2 before the cats need to be plugged in, but the O2's after the cats can be unpluged. My friend has been has driving around like this for weeks. A 10min won't hurt you, but the might irritate the po-po.

Quick ? , the instructions say to run the truck for 20 min then re-torque, should I wait for them to cool down a good bit or should I just go ahead and burn myself?

Man, I started that sucker a little while ago and DAMN THATS LOUD!!!!!! Open headers sound freakin bad, I dont think I'm gonna bean=ble to drive to the muffler shop. I'm still undecided on the mufflers, he wants me to run true duals with 2 -16" Delta flow Flowmasters?? Cna I get some feedback on that???? THANKS!!

What kind of engine do you have? I was considering true duals, but I think it would kill what little torque the 4.8 makes. I would think that a 5.3 might react similar. As for the mufflers, get what you want. I'm not a fan of Slowmasters. They do sound good, but there are better ones out there. JMO.

Try to re-torque them while they're hot if possible, because everything expands. Also do it again when it cools off. And again after a few heat cycles. I always check them on my car, but that's because I'm ****.

Got the 5.3, when I went to talk to him I told him what I wanted and he told me he recommends flowmaster, he also said he could do the Magnaflows and Flowmasters for the same price, both stainless (at least thats what he said) I'm calling him first thing in the morning to see if he will even be able to take me tomorrow. If I go w/ true duals, I'll ask about the X-pipe and I think I'm gonna go with the Delta Flow Flowmasters, if I dont like them I 'll just get mad at him and go bitch a little.

The guy is fillin you full of it if he's telling you that he can install dual stainless Flowmasters for the price of a single Magnaflow on a y-pipe. If it were me, I'd go with your original idea of 2 1/2s into 3" with the magnaflow, probably an 18". This guy sounds like he's after your money, most shops make more profit off of Flowmasters from what ive seen around here, besides, if you're looking for performance, run the Y-pipe with the Magnaflow. Be sure to use a reputable shop when installing exhaust, you dont wanna make second trips to the exhaust shop. One more thing, make sure they use rubber hangers.
