Thanks to Andysc3, I finally have a viable block to start my build. The bores checked out and while it may end up being a honed 404, I figured 2ci wouldn't make much of a difference. Please take a look at the list and tell me if there's anything in there that might not belong or work very well with the other components. Back-story, 4.8 is dead as the block is cracked, so I figured might as well take the time to upgrade. Already have a built 4l80e on the way with a circle-d 3800 stall. My intention is to make the engine as bulletproof as possible. What is not listed are the L92 heads I'm currently having ported, the fuel pump which I haven't ordered yet, the headers which I'm still trying to decide between 1 7/8 or 2in primaries, or any of the gaskets. My intention is to have a bulletproof engine rev'ing to a max of 6800 while still providing decent street manners. For the rear gears, I'm thinking along the lines of 3.73's as I would like to be in the 2200rpm range at cruising speed (75mph). Thanks for any advice you offer gents. Last thing, at some point in its life, this engine may see boost at which point I'll have a cam spec'd to match.
