Default few questions???

i have the rear o2s turned off or deleted for no cats, and was wondering if when i got LTs and a ORY since i just have the cats cut out of the factory pipe, if i could just unplug the sensors or would i have to weld in some bungs???

i just changed my gears over the weekend from 3.73 to 4.11 and was wondering how much of a difference it would make just having my computer tuned for them. just swapping the gears i had a noticable difference, and a few times i have actually laid out some rubber when it caught 2nd!!!!

what kind of difference would a 160 stat make over stock, since my truck sits around 200 - 210. also i have read that when replacing a thermostat that it actually reduces the tranny temps as well, is that true???

all the thermo does is open the flow of your coolant at a lower temp so it really doesnt make that much of a difference aside from not heatin up as fast. you will see no drop to temps in the end of the day. i havent heard anyone tune for gears other than the speedo recalibration. if you already have your rear o2's deleted, they arent registering anything with the computer so with some LT's i would think you just zip tie them up somewhere and leave them disconnected or something

if they are turned off already then yes you can just screw them out and tape up the ends somewhere. Id leave them in and just cut the cats out though since sometime you might wanna run them again.

getting edited for the gears would get your speedo back in check though

as far as the thermo.. it would help the motor stay cooler but a 160 stat is overkill in the summer since the fans and etc would run 24/7 trying to stay cool. I run my stocker still for that reason

so basically the thermostat is a mod thats not worth the time and or money!!!! and i know that i can unscrew the o2s from the y-pipe, but i was wondering if i could just unplug them and keep em in my shop in case i need them. just not under the truck still??!!
