Default Those with Pacesetter LT's

How much "louder" are they over the stock setup. I'm looking at the LT's and offroad y pipe(no cats) but I don't want toooo much sound out of it. I havea magnaflow muffler on it now and it sounds great. Would the addition of "bullets" keep the sound level down?

I put Pacesetters on with my Magnaflow and it was too loud...went Borla...too loud....added 3" resonator...just right... all no cats....dual 2.5" outlets....

I have LT's with no cats with a set of magnaflows (14 inch I think) Mine is a little loud but I think my air filter is dirty because it runs kinda rough but the pipes make it sound like I have a cam. I think you were able to here them when I passed you at the track...How did they sound?

Im running them with no cats through a single 3.5 inch Magnaflow dumped. You have heard mine, it is loud. If you run full exhaust out the back it will probably be ok. Try it out, if its too loud then you might want to add a resonator or maybe add some high flow cats in the mix.

adding the LTs actually quieted mine down. ditching the cats when i still had manifolds was what made it loud.

along with this thread, i have stock manifolds, stock cats and its dumped before the muffler, with my cam it is extremely loud...switching to LT's and ORY would this just make it even louder?

i think it depends on your exhaust set up ..... mine stayed about the same but gave it a raspy sound

getting rid of the cats will make it loud. your best bet is to run the exhaust all the way out back in dump it behind the tires, or dynamat the inside of your truck, if you dont want it loud.....

Ok, I think the muffler is going to make more of a difference than the headers (all else being equal). I have LT's with stock cats and a 5x11x22" magnaflow muffler and it's not much louder than stock.
