Default Fast intake on 6.2 l92 head???

Im curious about putting a FAST 102 intake on my truck with a FAST 102mm throttle body. I called fast and they don't make an RT one for our trucks that fit the L92 HEAD. they said the stock truck manifold works well which is bullshit kind of because it signs off on the dyno early in the RPM range. Change the cam and you got issues if you wanna make power.

has anyone ever ran a FAST intake for a car on there 6.2 truck. i wonder what kind of issues (clearance) or fitment issues there would be. would it be worth it???

Im kind of upset with FAST That they cant get this done wouldn't we all be in the market here??? I think they gave up when they did the prototype. they saw it made little gains or lost in some areas. Well the issues on the big end but cmon FAST get that intake dialed in.

any other options???????

You will have to make some changes to make the car one work, people have done it and seen gains, let me see if I can dig up some info for you.

Skeet modified his ALT bracket to move the idler over and then put a car water pump on with spacers *i think*

if you have time to mock things up and can fab stuff then you can do it yourself.

Go to Mast Motorsports websight and compare the dynographs for the L99 with the car intake and L92 with the truck intake. Look under engines then Hotrod muscle car handbuilt n/a. When comparing the dyno chart for the two cammed motors, the l92 holds its own. It peaks at 6800rpms and has more low end power than the l99. I am not sure why everyone claims the truck intake is garbage. Comp and Mast test several combos and both claim the truck intake is superior. I personally think the loss in upper rpm power on the l92 is due to the cam timing not the intake. Dont be surprised down the road when comp makes a L92 Fast intake that cant beat the stock truck intake. They'll only be giving people what they want.
