What exactly or your goals? You want more hp and tq or you just trying to get as much out the little 4.8 with tiny things as possible

Why do you want different coil packs ? The ones on the truck are about as good as they get. I'd start with CAI ( or cut holes in the front of the filter housing with a hole saw and just buy the CAI Tube ),K-N filter, free mods, ie TB bypass, headers and exhaust. Then a tune once you get the parts on you want. I did a lil mod to improve cold air flow into the air box along with a small piece of that rubber sheeting to keep the hot engine compartment air away from the filter box.

You can always move the parts to a larger engine when the 4.8 gets tired.

I had a 00 Silverado ( 4.8 btw ) I sold to my bro with a K-N, TB bypass and a resonator off a 00 Trans Am loudmouth to replace that HUGE restrictive muffler. It ran pretty good. Now it has 135K + miles and still goin strong, with a lil cold piston slap at idle.

Stay away from the aftermarket coil packs. The truck packs are as good as it gets.
