FWIW, I had a cammed 5.3. The cam was from a PO with unknown specs, just it was a TSP cam. I added 1 3/4 long tubes and catless ORY, and it did make it scream in the mid and top, but I lost a decent amount of off idle/"getting going" torque. It was LOUD through MBRP exhaust, which pre headers was perfect volume and no drone.
