Exhaust help needed!!!!
#1
Have an 09 Silverado ECSB with the 5.3 and will be adding the following. ARH Longtube headers w/ 1 3/8" primaries, Magnacharger TVS1900, Pat G Speced cam, Performabuilt LVL 2 transmission, and it will be dyno tuned. The last thing I need to figure out is my exhaust, performance is my main concern. I will be running true duals with an x-pipe and Hooker Aerochamber mufflers. With my planned mods, should be pushing around 450 to 500 rwhp. My problem is im not sure what size pipe to run on my exhaust, to big and I lose low end torque. To small and im not getting everything out of my motor and mods that I should. What size should I run 2.5" or 3", and is this the best option for me to meet my performance goals. Any other proven suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Well you're going to want bigger than 1 3/8" primaries that's for sure!
Pretty sure that you meant 1 7/8" I'd think that dual 2.5's would be plenty adequate for your setup IMO, but I'm curious to see the other suggestions that you get...

Oops I meant 1 3/4'' primaries, do you think I really need 1 7/8" primaries?

I am running my stainless works 1 3/4 into 3" duals. high flow cats after the trans crossmember into 3" x-pipe then straight into two Borla round xr-1 mufflers then torndowns right after that. plenty of low end torque and lots of top end too. Quiet at idle but when you get on it it sounds awsome.
