Yea I also did the Copper RTV then wrapped with aluminum foil too. All that with the band clamps and I have no leaks.....yet lol

 

to the OP, so did you end up ordering the stepped band (first pic) for all 3 connections? Thanks I'd like to order mine tonight. Also, where'd you get them from? is there a write up on the copper stuff and tinfoil? Thanks a million
