Default Question about rear 02s

I recently added a set of long tubes and deleted the cats. I didn't get a new tune yet because I am tied up with work. The check engine light is on and the codes are for the rear 02s. Would it be better or worse to take them out and plug the hole or just leave them as is until I can get them tuned out? The more I drive the truck the more power it seems to be loosing and I have a feeling that the 02s are the reason. Truck has less than 35,000 miles but I am going to change the plugs to TR55 this weekend.

No other codes are showing (except when I burned a plug wire) and the truck runs great. The throttle response before and after was awesome and it would go through the RPMs pretty quick. Now it seems to take alot longer to get going.

Any input as to what this may be and what I can do to fix it? A tune is in the future but I need to have a day off for that.

Thanks

You need to get them tuned out. The pcm enables CAT protection when it senses they arent working which makes your truck run very rich and crappy.

That sounds about right, I am seeing more black soot in my exhaust tips. Dry not oily. I am waiting for a call back from my tuner now. Hopefully he available the one day I can take off this month.

There is the problem, I don't have the software, the cable or a laptop. Wish I did though.

I am pretty sure the software is free but the cable and the per VIN license are what cost money.
