Ok after reading all these posts on the Radix and STS, I'm getting all excited about some real power mods. Especially moregrips posts!!! I'm pretty new to all the engine mods, but been reading all the performance posts!! If I dont buy another truck when I get back to the states, I'm going to start engine modding. Ok first is there a really big difference with a Radix or STS on a 5.3 or 6.0? Is it worth the swap in the long run, cause I found this at a local junkyard
04 Engine Cadillac Escalade 6.0,AT,A,COMP-OIL OK 1K for $2500 Is this the HO motor? Or this one
04 Engine Cadillac Escalade ESV 6.0,AT,AA,COMP-OIL OK,4 MILES $2800
I know its almost a year away before I go back to the states. But I have alot of free time over here, so might as well do some research and plan out everything if I go this way. I thought it would better to put a HO 6.0 in first then a Radix or STS and of coarse a Nelson tune. What ya guys think? My truck is 2000 5.3 Z71 with Airraid intake, Hypertech programmer, Helix TB spacer. Oh ya not looking for the fastest truck out there, just adding some kickass fun for my truck and its not really a daily driver. Now time to start researching for the Trans stuff. Sorry for the long *** post

Cool thanks for the input! They had some of the regular 6.0s too. Ok the more I think about it I only have 35,000 on my truck now, is it really worth stepping up to the 6L. I'm I going to gain that much? Maybe one of FI and some other stuff like the tune and headers would be better. Cam? Alittle cheaper too

That';s what i did.

The 5.3L can run quite well on boost if the tune is safe. I could have kept mine in the low/mid 12s for awhile I think had I not had the water incident. The AF was perfect and it ran hard on the street and track. The methanol and FMIC was the key to big power and a large saftey net IMO. 91octane sucks for big power with FI.

For sure, you can have lots of fun with the 5.3 and FI. If you do blow it up, ALL the external parts bolt right up to the 6.0L so there's no danger in having to replace your speed parts with the updated motor down the line.
Son of a biatch, why can't the "other" truck makers do this?!?

Joejoe got the lq4 swap complete and nelson has been working on a few different tunes to get it running right, so it should start kicking *** again. I will get some pics of his truck for ya since he had to show his escalade last year due to his mechanic running into the bed of the truck with a four wheeler

The gray one(on bags) was installed in the Tri-cities, the white one(with the radix) was installed in Yakima, and joejoe did his himself. Most of them have the whipple because of joejoe's experience with it, but in my opinion the radix is a better kit to go with. Joejoe may still be selling his whipple. (if he hasnt put it in is 02 silvy or the escalade)
Good luck over there and looking forward to seeing your truck with a little more go power. Appearance wise I think its set already.
