Any one have any luck with sound deadening material or spray? I went to a ling tube with 3" exhaust using the biggest bodied straight thru muffler and its making my brain numb!!! Love the sound at WOT but cruising speeds sux!!!

 

I just put in a crapload of dampening material from secondskin. I can't really tell you how much cab resonance it cut out because I threw long tubes on at the same time, but it does seem a bit better now. Is your exhaust dumped by any chance?

 

Yea. Is your muffler under the bed and dumped or under the cab. Had mine under the cab until i could get some pipe bent and it was Loud *** hell in the cab. Moved it back 4 ft and was a HUGE difference.

I did the complete cab with dyan mat and it made a little difference in the fron but the back seat was still deafining. I finnally fixed it with a Flo-pro b/c I couldn't take it any more.

 

i did the entire cab floor and back wall in my truck with second skin damplifier and it killed a good bit of the drone, still gotta do the doors and roof. running two magnaflows dumped right behind the cab with no cats, believe me, i know all about being brain numb
