What is the best sounding exaust I can buy and put on my 2003 2500HD it has the 8100 in it I want it as loud as I can get it , Thanks.

 

if you want sweet sound get a corsa if you want loud get a cutout

 

...or do both and have the best of both worlds, why settle for less?

bowtiegirl, if you want it as loud as you can get it...cut off the cats and go with long tubes and a set of 1 chamber flowmasters with dumps....will be loud as hell...and sound very nice

Probably around $600 or so. But well worth it. As far as you wanting it as loud as you can get it, you'll get tired of it being too loud at idle and cruising. But with the Corsa, it's relatively quiet at idle and cruise, but gets loud real quick with acceleration.

 

You could just have the stock muffler cut off and have strait pipes ran out the back. Then cats would act as a muffler. I think you would get tired of all the noise though pretty quick, I gotta go with the other guys and say order you a catback kit from either corsa or dynomax. They are moderately loud when you floor it but you can still hear your stereo/cell phone the rest of the time.

 

I have just the cat's on my 5.3, true dual with 4 inch tips. I love the no muffler sound, but in your case being that you have the 8.1, i'd say run a muffler. I have a friend with the 6.0 running no mufflers, and it's a little too loud. He cant even git on it around town, plus it will probably help you performance-gas milage wise too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

 

Well me and Bowtiegirl just got back from the muffler shop I had the muffler cut off and had 3"pipe ran all the way out then had 4" tips put on it,it is loud I may have to go get a bullet muffler from Dynomax and put on it to Quieten it down just a tad bit!!!!!!
