Default Everyones opinions on exhaust

right now i have a 2 chamber flowmaster dumped about 10" past the muffler. I used to like it a lot before i had it moved. I kept bottoming out on it so i had to move it closer to the cab. (not the muffler itself but the dumps) anyways i drove it home from lubbock over christmas and i was cruising at around 2000 rpms and it put this resonance in the cab that was starting to make me sick. around town i don't mind it so much but when i have other people in there they can't stand it either. so i was thinking about getting a different type of exhaust. i want something that adds good horsepower but isn't loud (is there such a muffler?) i've heard that the flowmaster doesn't add all that much horsepower, is that true?

so what type should i get and why is it better? I have thought about the borla or corsa, are they quiet and make good HP? or should i try to change the angle of the dump? for instance should i make it so that it doesn't echo off the cement as much or will it still be really loud? Thanks for the help.....

flowmasters SUCK...anyways, i have hamm headers with mandral bent 3" pipe, dr. gas x pipe and dual bullet dynomax mufflers, it's loud in cab but it's dumbed right under the passenger seat. if you had the same setup ran out the back, or all the way to the back and then dumped it would probably be much better sound wise

I went to a tru Duel With MagnaFlows From the same with Flowmaster...Same thing it started to sound like Crap to me....The Magnaflow feels like i have more top end power but it could just be me.....its nice at Cruz but loud at WOT...Even with Dumps its not as loud as my Flowmasters but the X-pipe made it 10 times Smoother...i will never own a tru duel with out an X-pipe......But thats just me....Andrew

well with the corsa or borla can i dump those? i really don't want any pipes to show. i went to the corsa web-site and they had sound files of the exhaust and it sound pretty good. i couldn't find a sound files of borla. i probably wont do a true dual unless i get long tube headers.

anyone else with ideas?

I dont think i would pay 700$ for a Corsa Catback to turn around and cut the tips off and dump it.... but if youve got the money go for it...

Just my opinion but I belive if dump any muff you will get a drone. I could be wrong. For a dump go with a Dyno Bullet they are only about 30$ from Summit.

From what I've seen Corsa is way over priced and their mufflers are way to heavy and big, and they blow out.

Jason's truck is probably the best one I have heard so far.....see my other post.
