are you planning the "crate 6.2"? thats like 8k alone. 3k for a 5.3? eh no way unless you have about 2500-3000 in a top end.
swap your flexplate to the 6.2
swap front cover
you can keep the cam IF you cant afford a cam swap.
if you cam it then pull the valve springs for w.e you want to run
get pushrods, single or 3 bolt cam. throw it in with a tune for it stock or cammed.
if i had everything on the new motor an all i had to do was swap em it can be done in 8-10hrs depending if your compressor stays alive
its really easy man, its just bolts
anymore questions buddy hit me up
ill read over this after while incase i missed something

just seen you asked which one to buy
LS3 vs L92....
LS3 is setup for a car so you'd have more money in buying all the brackets for it.
L92 is already setup for a truck so its a easy swap.
the vvt is no problem, it wont know its there without your harness having the option...which it doesnt. if you wanted VVT then you'd have to swap the harness to a denali or a 6.2/6spd harness.
if you buy a crate motor buy the highest hp one you can so thats more hp youll make to the rear wheels. the 6.2 doesnt need a .600+ lift cam to make hp. all of the crate motors ive looked at has around .525-.550

Just get the LSX376 crate engine(19171049) It's 1K less than the crate LS3, but you would still have to source the L92 intake setup (or whatever intake setup) and all the accessories and oil pan will you would swap from your original engine.
GMPP doesn't sell the L92 crate engine, so you're looking at sourcing an L92 from a salvage yard or private seller, buying the LS3 crate engine or getting the LSX376

I don’t know for sure where KSA is located “Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?”, but by the use of words with spelling such as labour and so on, his figure for what his used engine is worth may not be that far off. We know we wouldn’t pay that here, but who knows what the going rate is in other parts of the world.
Anyway, good luck with your build.
