I completely agree on going with a bigger cam, but that's what we would do. The engine build that was written in the first post doesn't suggest to me a max power effort. Stage 1 5.3 heads(now edited post shows stage 2), LS6 intake, 5.7 crank? LQ4/LS2 rods? stock pistons? That list suggests he's not very sure how to get his goals. Is the truck a daily driver, tow vehicle, how much track will it see, does he mind the driveability of a bigger cam? Things like that will ultimately decide what cam he should get. At least that's how I interpreted his post, I could be wrong. Again, I am a fan of large cams.

That was a typo on the stage 1 heads, I will be using stage 2. As for rods and pistons I'm not sure which way I'll go. I'm probably gonna go with forged for both. I think I'll make this a 383 stroker. Truck is daily driven with almost no towing. I'll probably end up with either a 224/228 or a 228/232.
