Default Engine Covers...99 5.3

hey guys..got an escalade engine cover with the valve cover covers, but they interfer with alot of improtant wires and cables, so I need to find another engine cover that will fit the 99 5.3L..does anyone know if this cover will work(2004 5.3)..just dont want it rubbing the throttle cables...

Should fit fine, except the back plate that holds the cover down, but I know you already knew about this for the esky covers. Thats strange that you say they rub the throttle cable, I have a set of 03 SS covers (same except the logo on them) and they clear everything fine, maybe because yours are aftermarket.

The cover you posted above should be found on the 01+ trucks, possibly the 00 models as well. I know it was on my 02 stock.

hm...that od..casue the covers for my esc' huit like tranny dipstick, all sorts of ****..heres the cover..Id lvoe to use them..but they jsut plan old dont fit..and dont want to cut apart a really expensive iten to that extent

Please explain exactly your problems. My throttle and cruise go between the top cover and driver side cover (see below). The trans dipstick tube is on the outside of the heater hoses, and the heater hoses route over the pass. side cover (see below). What exactly is causing enough interference that you cannot install them?

I have a set of Escalade covers on my 99 5.3L... I do not recall any installtion issues but they have been on for a couple of years.
New valve covers were necessary to mount the side covers, though.

Carbon fiber? That looks sweet! I'll trade you some custom Billet Coil Covers, everyone will think you have a 408c.i.d. motor!

well i guess i'll try it again....i coudlnt get it to fit...maybe i jsut need to fandangle it a bit better...im just gonna rig something up for the side mounts
