Question Emission cams

I'm considering a cam swap pretty soon and I was wondering which ones will pass emissions testing. I have heard the LS6 and the GT2-3. Are there any others? It would be into a 4.8 and I live in Houston, TX if that helps. If this has already been posted just let me know, I did a search and didn’t find anything.

they wont hook you up to the sniffer in houston. as long as you dont throw any codes you should be fine.

In Ca, a 224/224 114* is generally recognized as the limit to pass the sniffer.

you guys think a 220/220 would be a good cam for a 4.8? I've seen a few guys running it. if not what do you suggest for N/A.

i know 04RST is running that size cam by Thunder Racing and is happy with it i cannot remember what LSA his is though...
and in new york as long as a 97+ vehicle is not throwing codes and passes the visual inspection of the brake and all then you can pass the inspection

if your not wanting to go with a bigger stall converter I would suggest the 2k vette cam 198 207 500 500 115.5, nice little cam and I picked up .3 in the 1/4 with it. send me a pm if you need some help.

that 220/220 on a 112lsa would be a perfect cam for it, and should sound good aswell...

stick with a smaller cam unless you do a converter. the biggest one i've heard of for the 4.8 and 5.3 with the stock converter was the comp 216/220, anything between the zo6 cam and that would be good though.
