Default electric fans

ok is there any real benefit from turning the fans on hi all the time? as soon as it hits operating temp my fans are on hi all the time..

Heh! What year truck? No indication in your sig what year truck or if the fans are OE or after market. Sheesh!

2005 stock OE fans..only asking cause my volts drop down at night when my fans are on and my lights.

In 05 the altenator was setup to be regulated to shut off when not needed. So it may be a normal cycle.
You may have a weak battery too unless you have replaced it.
I have an 05 and never notice any major dropping. The fans come on and ramp up very smoothly.
As for the fans running on high all the time. Mine does not. Even in the GA summer heat it will cycle from high to medium or from a single fan to both.

well when i got my truck tuned i guess they had it put that way...i never had a cooling problem before..i just dont feel the need for them to be on high all the time.
