Default egr question ?

I just cut the egr off in my intake manifold and I also cleaned it out with carb cleaner. Now it idols ruf and whenever i touch the gas it goes up to 2000 rpms and takes a few seconds to go back down to idoling. Is this because of the carb cleaner or cutting the egr short? Also, can I turn off the egr sensor with nelson's tune and just plug the holes?

You may have not seated the black O-ring properly on the intake manifold or you may have damaged it. Basically you have a vacuum leak.

yes you can have Allen turn the EGR off. you would need to block the EGR tube on your header, and plug the hole in the side of the intake with a freeze plug.

That's a lot of work. I just made a gasket from a big sheet, cut it to size, and put it between the EGR valve and the tube from the exhaust manifold to the intake.

or you can do it the Hit Man X way
I did mine the other way just because it cleaned up the engine a bit.
and removed it completely

Sure it'd make it cleaner but where is that extra harness going to go?
