If you remove pin 42, can you command the fans on high through pin 33? You are using both pins to control the fans correct? I'm wondering if this is an EFI-Live problem. I know at the beginning there were some issues setting up electric fans.

Before you do below, how many relays are controlling the fans?

Do you have a terminal with a lead on it so you can check pin 33 for ground? I'm wondering if the PCM is trying to command high fans due to thinking it has high A/C pressures. If it is that would cause the low fans to kick on also. You need the low fan relay on to get both high fans.

I dont have any relays on the fan anymore... I removed the entire harness and am working solely with the wire coming from pin 42. Now before I removed the harness though, I had this setup with 2 relays only, one for each fan, and used the ground supplied from 42 to just kick the relays on or off. So essentially the fans were always in "high" mode when they were turned on because they both had their own ground supplies and had their own 12-14volt supply from the relays. I also had the tune set up for just a regular auxilery fan settings NOT series fans.

So right now, Im manually connecting the fans before I drive, by opening the hood and disconneting or reconnecting the ground supplies!

The .tun file you uploaded shows the tune as a series-parallel setup.

Yeah, JUST did that though because i was going to make a new harness which uses high and low fan operations. I just wanted to tackle this little problem i have first before I made the new harness and complicated things even more. So i pulled everything out, made the changes in EFi already for the new harness, and am troubleshooting the problems I've had since the Nelson harness blew up on me. If it helps any, this problem started when the first harness i had from Nelson pretty much melted after about a year or so of use. When I pulled it out, I noticed that the middle relay was actually melted literally warped. After that I've had this same problem since then. The old Nelson setup used 42 + A/C so i never changed that part. Also EFI was set then and all the way until now as Auxilery Fans.

Can you check to see if you have ground on pin 33 now? I'm wondering if the fans are being commanded for A/C.
