How do I pull the axle's out of the carrier. It's dark and I can't hardly see anything, me not knowing what to look for doesn't make it any easier. Anyone have any suggestions?
Do I need to take the carrier retainers off before I can pull the axles out?

no first you need to un bolt the calipers and take the rotors off. there is a rod going through the middle of the carrier that has a single little bolt in it and two spidet gears on it take that out. ( that is if you have an open diff) if it is a g80 i believe there is something similar but it is just a little slide thing with no spider gears on it. after you do that the push the axles into the axle housing more. then you will be able to remove the c-clips from the end of the axles. now you can pull the axles out a bit (but dont be jerking them so you dont accidently mess up the axle seals. now you can take the carrier bearing caps off and pull the carrier.

OK ... maybe this can help. Which side do I pull something out of to push the axles in to take the c clip off to get the axles out? Any other info you might think would be useful would be appreciated too.

Sorry. I spent last night painting my house and kickin' a few back with the boys that were helpin' me.
