Get a low mileage stock pump, port the housing yourself and throw a little shim in the cylinder where the spring is at. Its not worth spending the money for what you get. Many people have done it and oyu will get the same result.

Using a dremel to knock down the casting flash on the inlet(where the pikup tube goes). That is the only place that I noticed that was "ported" on my Thunder Racing ported LS6 pump. I sold it because I figured I could do it myself and have the same result and sell the TR pump for some cash since it is TRported pump.

:
i ported one of my pumps and it worked fine but the reason i told him to go with texas speeds pump is because its cheap and reliable ...guys as easy as it is to do people with little to no experiance should not be porting on the heart off there motor its not the first place to sharpen yor porting skills and if you have the money$130.00 its worth it when you consider the cost of a motor
...and dont take it wrong im not nocking anyones ability here im just trying to help

You are supposed to use a .002 feeler guage all the way around and set the clearance between your oil pump and crank. I tried for 30 minutes to get it right and gave up. Everytime you tighen the bolts(even if you do it evenly
) it moves it the slightest bit and throws your clearances off.
Like i said, i gave up and didnt mess with it. Just slapped it back on and bolted her up. No issues and put 7k miles on it since. It was running fine when i broke a headbolt off in the block and bought a new block. I didnt even try when reassembling the new motor. We will see how it acts.
