Default Ease of low-mid 13s

I am coming from the diesel world so this is kinda new to me but I was just wondering what it would take to get a newer body style reg cab auto with a 5.3 into that range.

one million dollars!!! No I'm trying the 13's w/ a RCSB Silverado too. Its easy to get on there but it is hard to swallow that my truck needs a cam to get to 13's. Call me whatever but I never thought Id buy a Cam for my 99 Z28 but to break 13's with a truck it seems almost inevitable to do without. Im getting all my bolt ons 1st. Got the K&N FIPK already and am thinking of getting some PaceSetter LT's and ORY. After that, It will probably be a Torque Converter (3000+ Stall) and finally the Cam, Pushrods, Springs, and Timing Chain. Dont forget tuning.

How easy is "How much" so in essence is ralatively easy to get there, just got to be willing to spend.

Cabech984 if you have a 5.3 rcsb with all the boltons and no cam, it can get into the 13's but it'll be high 13's.

Ditto. I'm on a quest for 12s now. I'm using an '00 PCM, and have received several suggestions to swap to an '02 PCM. I'll let the MOD GODS elaborate on that for those that don't have a clue. I've heard of a few that have run 12s with the following:

Mild cams & bigger (216/220-ish, TR220s, TR224s)
Springs
UDP
Intake / Exhaust
Gears (3.73s & 4.10s)
Tune

The MOD GODS can elaborate on that as well.
