e-fans on a 8.1 liter?

Default e-fans on a 8.1 liter?

well i just finished puttin my fans on my 5.3 and my friend liked them..he has a 8.1 liter .. its an 03 or 04 model model of truck...he wants to put the 2005 silverado fans on his truck..my question is will he have to buy a bigger radiator or does he already have the 34in? also can he use a VSC to run the fans? thanks!

He has a 34" radiator. not sure about the VSC but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Tbyrne did e-fans on his truck. They looked kind of small but he said it worked great.

well i wander if flex a lite made some for an 8.1? on their website it didnt show they do but if the radiator size is the same as a 6.0 couldnt i just order the 6.0 fans and use them?

The VSC is a universal setup that runs off it's own temperature probe. There is no reason why it wouldn't work.

Flex-a-lite does make fans for the 8.1, I have them on my truck. They are model 290's and I bought them from Tbryne motorsports. These things move some air that for damn sure. Very easy install hardest part is getting the stock fan/clutch off. It revs quicker,has more *****, and gets a little better milage, not to mention its much easier to work on the motor and looks much cleaner.
