E-fan problems
#1
I am having problems with my e-fans, I hope you guys will be able to understand what I am going to try and explains because I don't.
Yesterday my truck started getting a little warmer than normal. it was only 75* outside. when I got home and popped the hood my fans were not on. I turned the ac on and the passenger side fan kicked on like normal but the drivers side was not working. Normally the computer will start the drivers side on low and the ac will start the passenger's side on high. so I switched some of the relays around to see if one was bad and now the computer will start them both on low and when I turn the ac on the drivers side will turn on high and the passengers side will turn off. Doesn't make sense to me. The relays all look the same to me and now I'm not sure which ones went where originally. I had someone else install the fans so I don't know how he did it.
any insite would be greatly appreciated

I think that I have determand that the middle relay is not working. Where can you buy these? and what would make it go bad @ less than 2 months.
Does anyone know how much thay are? not that it matters, have to get it fixed, just courious

You can get those relays at most parts stores or Radio Shack. The relay that went bad might just be defective, or the contacts wore out...a number of things may have caused it to fail.

Up date on fans, went and got another relay and put it in and it still won't work and now the fans won't start even with the AC on. So now I have no fans!!! I put the old one back in and still nothing, nada, zilch, and before someone asked if the are wired correctly I have know Idea, I didn't install them myself. All I know is they worked fine for 2 months and 3000 miles. any body have an Idea, thought or anything.

Also make sure that all of the connections are good, and that there isn't any blown or unseated fuses.
