Default E-Fan Harness Install

For you guys that have E-fans and are using the nelson harness or something similar, where did you mount your relays and with what?

I have everything in and in working order, just can't come up with a clean way to mount them in my head.

Any help is appreciated and if you have a picture that would be even better.

Thanks.

I mounted mine right on the PCM cover with a screw...you could also use velcro or strong 2 sided tape. Sorry I don't have a pic though...

I would've mounted mine on the PCM cover but my harness seems a little backwards. The ring terminals would not have reached if i would've mounted it.

So the relays are kinda zip tied into place until i come up with a solution.

I mounted mine right to the fan housing. Search my name about making your own harness, I made one that was under $30 bucks, wire relays and all. I did not use the gm weather pack plugs. There are a couple members here that make/sell these.

I noticed that the tabs on the relays were on the wrong side for mounting to the PCM cover also (backwards from what Nelson's instructions show). I removed the relay tabs completely, and instead used one of the 3 holes found on the side of the plastic relay socket assy. Pull one relay out, carefully shoot a *short* screw through that hole into the PCM cover (so the plastic doesn't strip), and replace the relay. I pulled the one closest to the firewall because it allowed the relay bank to attatch while it's still in a natural hanging position, yet still be secured.

Velcro wouldn't stick to the plastic PCM housing, FWIW.
