I got a price from a local shop yesterday for the 295. They want 538.99! Thats just for the fan and controller, and the 680.99 for the 282! I saw that people out there on this site are paying 370. for the 295. Can someone tell me where to go to get that price? Thanks.

Here's a link to a page that has both the 282 and the 295. It is at Truckperformance.com

So how easy is to install the LS1 fans. I am sure I could get my hands on one pretty easily. I just dont want to have to do all this wiring, drilling etc. Some minor mods to mount it are o.k. though.

I have an 03 so I just dont want to have to worry about the warranty and the dealership giving me too much crap if I ever take my truck in for servicing.

Thanks for the info. I will order from Truckperformance. One quick question though. When I get it, will it come with instructions on wiring to factory ecm pins? If not, does anyone have any info for a 00 5.3? Wanting a factory looking install.

I installed the 295 on my 5.3 and it looks like stock would. I love them. Make sure they give you your specific vehicle brackets with them. Call Scoggin Dickey. They were a little under $400 for everything. It comes with the variable thermostatice relay.

Hey Chevy Coonass, so it was easy to install your 295 fan? No drilling? Do you have any pics?

How is this fan compared to a permacool? The permacool looks pretty slick!

It says the permacool will only work with 17 or 19 X 34 inch Radiator Cores. I have an 03 5.3L sierra with the tow package. Does anyone know if this permacool fan will fit my trucks radiator?

Hey Marineblue, I have a 00 5.3 with towing package and its the small radiator ~18.5". So the 295 looks like to be the only one that will work, as long as your radiator is the same as mine. Just measure from tank to tank on the inside of the rib where the tanks meet the fins.

Does anyone know if the Perma cool dual 14" electric fans will fit on my 03?

Perma cool's page says that it will work on GM radiator cores measuring 17" X 34
