Dyno Estimates??
#31
I have no clue what my HP is.
Last time we tuned the truck it got a lot faster but we didn't have a dyno near my tuner. The last place I used wont let me back on with the stock tires. They grew and distorted so bad the workers got skeerd.
My old setup didn't feel nearly as fast as it is now and that was at 436rwhp with the GT35 turbo.

Now I have the GT67 .81 A/R. stock 6.0L heads and 8.6:1 CR, FMIC and a much better tune. Still no dyno tuning though. Just street tunes with a wideband.
On pump gas with a tiny bit of meth I was running avg. 106-107mph at the track. Then I went back after I lost some compression due to water damage. I added some C16 race gas and the temps were about 20+deg cooler and I never once went slower than 108.9mph. I turned the dial 1psi and got the 110mph but my trans was slipping so bad people in the stands thought I blew it up. LOL
If you try and use a calculator that would say I am making 549rwhp (110mph) at 14.5psi with a 5250lb raceweight. I doubt it is that high as the HP curve feels very linear and solid. Not peaky at all. It's most likely lower but nice and flat.
As for lag.
I got tons. If I don't boost off the line then I could be fully through a large intersection before I get into any decent amount of boost. Once I hit about 6psi though boost comes on so damn fast that the tires will start to break loose at about 30mph.
I raced an LT1 SS once at night and the guy just took off on me and instantly had 3 cars. I hit boost and started sliding to the side spinning the tires at about 35mph and I was gaining on him a tiny bit, once I hooked it was over and I flew passed him. Not that this was cool by any means but it shows you what lag can do to a race if you are not properly set up. Had I brake stalled it and built up boost he would have seen nothing but tailights.
I'll show you a vid of no boost off the line and one with boost.
Only got about 2psi on this launch

8psi launch then a 6psi launch.

That is funny that you say you have tons. A guy out here with a 347 and a gt70 has barely any lag. The second vid only plays the 1st 12seconds but i have seen it before. Thanks for the info it helps alot knowing that you have the kit on your truck.

My GT35 had very little lag at all. Once I did the GT67 I had a bunch so I downsized the A/R but added the FMIC and it was the same.
The guys with the 6.0L get very little lag with the GT67 so I'm guessing the extra cubes push that much more CFM so lag is lessened. Please let me know how yours turns out. I'm very curious how it will work on the 4.8L.
