F8L is creeping up on the 11's with an EC 5.3 and an STS@13psi . I would think with good traction you could be in the 11's. If not, give it a little 50shot.

I don't mean to be rude, as I think the 4.8 is by far the best motor ever , but why are you going to pour so much money into it? Forged parts to keep it a 4.8 have got to cost as much as forged parts for bigger displacements. Right?

Why not????? Everyone pours so much into 6.0's, 402s and 408s. WHy not due a 4.8? I have always been a big supporter of the underdogs and of 4.8 liter engines. Also i want to do it because SO many people have told me that it cant be done. But it can and will be done

I'm a supporter of underdogs too. So I will support you, and I agree with you that it can be done. Like I said the 4.8 is the best motor ever!!! You're running mid 12's now, so I don't think 11's are out of the question.

I was thinking, with an 8:1 compression, couldn't you run more boost. I would think 18-20 would be awesome. I would think you could get close to 500rwhp with the good gas. Props to the 4.8 and anyone cool enough to hotrod it!

P.S. Where are these forged 4.8 parts coming from? I wanted to stick a 4.8 in my car to prove a point to my friends (I get made fun of too ) and I wanted forged parts so I could spray it pretty hard.

What type of rpm are you planning on spinning to? I will guess then.

Ok, here is my estimate

551rwhp @ 13psi and 6200rpm

597rwhp @ 15psi and 6200rpm (Oh so close to 600rwhp)

I also figured on a 90° charge temp so it could be more less depending on that.

Good luck. Slowhawk is tuning it right? I've read about how good he is.
