Gonna be a street truck. May never see the track but I just want a good powerful truck that will drive about as good as stock. Don't want to go over a 3000 converter because it will pull a trailer. If I do this I will have another truck also to daily drive but this one will still be drove alot. Just don't want to get to big on everything and not be able to use it like I want or need to.

I was speaking from experience. I have that cam in my big, heavy *** truck, and it would be awesome if it had more topend and pulled past 6000.

Nonetheless, it's still a good overall cam. Obvious by how popular it is.

So you can directly drop a stock LQ4 in replacement for a 5.3 with no modifications but a tune?

Naw i can get a LQ4 for much cheaper than a LQ9 and then i dont have to run premium fuel on it. Not looking for alot of power but more than the old 5.3 puts out.

Alot of driveability comes from your tuning.. I have a my cam in sig and it runs and drives just fine, Ive had people say theres no way my truck has that big of a cam. In my opinion if you want some thing just for the street get a bigger cam that it will have alot of top end.
