Actually, it was the other one that came in a box that said Korea on it- the one with the crappy rivets and thinner metal. The new, new one came from a dealer, but I didn't see what kind of box they came in.

Both right and left mounts were in the same condition. Both were nearly new. Not sure how they could pull apart like that when the pieces are clamped together with a bolt when installed??

"Nearly new"? That makes me think that the junkyard ruined them when they lifted the engine with their payloader and forgot to unbolt the mounts.

By "nearly new" I mean that they only have about 100 miles on them. They were brand new, out of the box, when I installed them.

Is the rubber center torn in the one that is severely out of shape?

Proof that the aftermarket should make us some stronger poly mounts.

No, the portion of the mount that bolts to the frame is not connected to the rubber- it can slide around on it. The GM mounts, at least my old ones, had a piece of the rubber that fit into that portion to prevent it twisting like that.

The GM mounts do appear to be a little stronger overall. I have looked, but have not come across anything better.

Here is the aftermarket mount after I straightened it out by just twisting it by hand. The rubber looks good.
