Default does Lq4 yukon have y-pipe to muffler

I have a 02 Tahoe 4x4 lq4 and use the 5.3 corsa exahust, was going to buy 6.o yukon or escalade touring exhaust and looks like dual pipes into muffler. Might not fit my front pipe. should I use 5.3 system or yukon system. Can someone tell me what front pipe / cat set up I need for the corsa direct fit exhaust.

interesting. have you looked at the tubing coming off the headers? If it's 2 seperate pieces of tubing all teh way back then no it won't fit unless you notched out the two pieces and welded a 2 bolt flange onto it just like the one on your tahoe and then bolted up the catback, and then you still might have problems considering the chassis changed (I think).

No, I looked at the corsa pictures for the yukons and ecalades, has two into one pipe in front of the muffler.

I was under the impression that all of the factory 6.0 exhaust systems were dual pipes into the muffler, as opposed to meeting in a y-pipe like the 4.8-5.3's...

They use a dual 3" OD exhaust system that goes into a dual inlet singleoutlet refridgerator sized muffler.

The 6.0l 2500HD's have a short 3-4" section of 2 1/2" pipe that comes right out of the manifolds. This reducer is not used on the 8.1L trucks. I assume it is used to keep exhaust velocity up so that low rpm torque doesnt suffer from the HUIGE stock factory exhaust these trucks use.
