Does the 4.8 have a locking rear diff stock?

Ive also been interested in the e-locker it would be nice to lock the diff knowing your going to need it locked in advance, anyone have any experience with e-locking diffs. also is anybody running detroit lockers

the G80 isn't a great design, but not bad for it's intended use. the e-locker isn't bad, but i'd recomend just going right to a detroit locker personally. the G86 is an actual limited slip design instead of the locking type. the difference being that it's preloaded all the time like the normal eaton limited slip where as the gov-lock only engages when the governer slides the cam to lock position. once engaged the gov-lock works very nice. the downside is that if you aren't moving they can tend to not lock.

FWIW,
I have a true locker in my truck. Powertrax. Its ok for non daily drivers, but bucks and jumps and squalls tires in the parking lots. Gets you lots of looks
I got it because it was 1/3 the cost of an Eaton or Auburn...never again will I make that mistake. Go with Eaton or Auburn. Quality units...

I now have an eaton and 4.10's and do date haven't had any problems. During race season, I launch at 3500 rpm's on slicks and the eaton has held strong.
I also had the Locker and I blew it up before 36,000 miles put a Eaton in , no problems at all ...
