Do they make 3.90 gears for our trucks?

Dude I am going to have to recommend 4.10. It is not much more than 3.90 but it will be better, and don't think your gas mileage is going to be horrible because it won't be. Also the HPP3 cannot program for 3.90. Do what you want, but I think you should consider the 4.10s a little more.

99silveradoSS, our trucks have a 41 tooth ring gear so with a 10 tooth pinion you get 4.10/1 with a 11 tooth 3.73/1 , 12 tooth 3.42/1 if someone makes a 3.90/1 they must use a 39 tooth pinion. I love my 4.10/1 and if I didn't drive so many miles I'd gear it 4.56/1 . At 70 mph it runs @ about 2200 rpm, thats not bad for a 6000 rpm motor. Fuel milage dropped about 1 mpg city & highway (well worth it imo). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Jim

Do they make 3.90 gears for our trucks? If so, I think I would like to get some. Wouldn't it be a nice improvement going from stock 3.42 limited-slip posi to 3.90 Eaton posi?
