If it's dumped, it's going to be loud no matter what. Putting it out the side or out the back may quiet it down enough. If you use an f-body muffler, don't use the Flowmaster one, they flow very poorly and you might as well be running stock exhaust,

thats the thing though... I could honestly give a **** how it flows... LOL... I have dual cutouts at the headers when I want it to flow... I want this bitch quiet. and I'm not talking about dumped 8" behind the cab where it is now. I'm talking basically dual tailpipes turned down right behind my roll pan just enough to hide them... not necessarily "dump" them.

I'll post up some pics if I have a chance to do it this weekend. I just hate the way tips look on the back of a truck like mine with a roll pan, colormatched everything, and smoked lights... it kind of kills the look IMO...

If you want quiet then I'd go with a stock or Magnaflow muffler. Dual cutouts are fun

the way it is now, there's nothing between the exhaust valves and the dump except some wide open pipe. and like I said, its so far up that you cant even look at it through the wheel well. you have to crawl under it... even carrying the pipe to the back somewhere will help compared to what it is now. I'm sure adding a muffler, more pipe, and some sort of happy ending for the exhaust LOL... will do wonders compared to what the setup is like now.
