Default 5.3L to a 6.0L

Got a question for you all
04 Avalanche 5.3L
I'm planning to change the 5.3L to a 6.0L from a 03 Escalade.
I'm guessing it should be straight foward.
But is their a difference in the fuel rail setup from the 03 to 04 ?
I think I can run the 5.3L intake on the 6.0L right? same injectors?
I heard that some 6.0L would need something to bolt up on the 4L60 trans.
I figured it's cheaper to ask now than to do the job and find some suprises.
I know that the ECM will need to be tune for the 6.0L
Thanks in advance
Ron

not sure if your new engine has the returnless fuel rail or not. But yes, you can reuse your current intake/fuel rails on the new engine. Also, was that 6.0 previously bolted up to a 4L60E or to a 4L80E? If it was the 80E, you'll need to use the flexplate off of your current 5.3. If it was bolted to a 60E, you should be fine.

It should be a straight foward job then.
Thanks for the info.
