Default "different" idea for exhaust

currently, I have pace LT's, Pace ORY, 18" resonator dumped, about 18" before the axle. As you can imagine this is loud as hell behind a cammed 5.3 turning a decent stall and gears.... I have wanted to quieten it up for a while now and this is how I may do it (and improve my 60' at the same time)

Keep the current setup, PLUS, cut off the dump, run it over the axle. I have my hands on a Fbody muffler (the weird side in, dual out type behind their axle) into that muffler and dump it right behind my roll pan, still hidden

-all while moving some weight to the rear, where I need it.

-Chances are, its a Junkmaster muffler, but I really dont care, they sound decent, and hell, its free and will fix my volume problem. its off an LT1 camaro. it was installed a couple months ago and the guy blew up the motor. Its just sat in the garage, a nice coat of paint and it'll be ready. Whaddya think?? I think it will sound a little bit different.

it would still be loud but i dont think as loud as it is now. at idle flows really are louder than my magnaflow not sure why!!!! but when revving mine is louder than a flow. i think since its free i would try it and see what happens! might sound good. as far as weight i dont think you would add anything to make a difference

Going to something that doesn't dump will decrease the loudness. I'd run some straight tips out the back. In fact...

That's exactly what I used to run with my last single mount. I put a dynomax camaro muffler in the spare tire spot and ran straight tips out the back. It was perfect.

I still have the muffle and am willing to part with it if you need a good muffler for that location.

LOL, Yeah, I dont see why it wont work out really nice. I just hate the look of exhaust tips of any kind. Especially coming from under a roll pan. I am going to run them back until they are about 3-4" away from the pan, just far away enough to not have to worry about heat discoloration and stuff...

Whats the specs on the muffler you have Erik?

It was a dynomax catback kit for the camaros. It's a single 3" in with dual 3" outs.

I put it on right after I got hit by the road rage guy and was looking for a way to lower my profile a bit.
