Difference between Transgo shift kit & "reprogramming kit"?
#2
From what I recall the "reprogram" is the transgo retail kit without the video and allows for full manual operation. They are basically the same as far as shift performance goes.

I've installed the Transgo 4L60E-3 kit. The kit replaced various springs and spacers, plus bypasses the PC relay. This kit DOES NOT make the tranny full manual. The shifting is still controlled via shift selenoids.
On a positive, the oil isn't burning up any more. And 2nd gear chirps every time!
Does anyone know where I can get a PCM male/female plug? I could make a full manual adaptor. Drive around normal. Then push a button and have full manual and full line preasure. That really would be a Tow/Haul button!
