I recently went from an open 3.42 differential to a Auburn posi 3.73:1 differential. I went with gears made by National Drivetrain (Eliminator series) and have been experiencing a light humming noise ever since. This noise is heard more at the 40-50mph range. I assume that is the gears that are responsible for that humming noise. I am willing to change them and hopefully the noise will go away. What brand of gears do you all recommend that will humm or make annoying noises. Thanks in advance.

It sounds to me that you need to have your rearend set up by a profesional. They need to be shimmed.

Yes they are a very good gear..

 

richmond suck <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" /> .... get the oem gears if you can , if not i would go with u.s gear a.k.a torque line or precision gear .
