The p/n 10295 is what most would prob go with.
Looked up the 10296 - It's the high volume version, the 10295 is the OE replacement.

They have 3 different ones that I came across so far.

Melling M295 is factory replacement and same pressure/volume as stocker.

Melling 10295 is Stock volume, 10% increase in pressure over M295 oil pump.

The Melling 10296 is even better and yes is a high volume.

The 10295 is stock volume with high pressure while the M295 is stock pressure and volume.

Yeah the Melling 10296 is just $122 + shipping so you might as well get that one since its the high volume one.

Should be fine for you. I have used mellings in the small block chevy engines before and never had a problem as well.

I'm still on the stock oil pump on my 5.3 as many other guys are also.

Does the 11610057 rod bolt part number interchange with the "upgraded" 11610158 bolt?
Trying to finish up a shortblock, just missing rod bolts.

11610057 is the bolt used on LS6 engines and every other LS series engine from 2000 and up. If you have 143 press fit rods this is the correct bolt for you.

I actually don't have 143 rods or even an LS engine..

Local gm parts guy gave me the 11610057 part humber as factory for my app.
After reading your post I ventured to find if I have 143 rods (I know they are new hot forged PM type),and found a gm parts search that would use my VIN.
It showed me **568069 as rod bolt part number, then a note in red said replaced by **610158.

So according to GM parts, the upgraded number fits and either the number given me was incorrect or the gm parts guy was incorrect.

Friends with parts guy so calling to confirm now, thank you for your help.
