Did the 4.8's in the Express vans w/the 80e's behind have longer cranks? A friend is putting a 4.8/60e combo in his '97 S10.

the is from his '07 4.8 from an Express Van

and this is from my '04 4.8

They should all be the same length. The flex plate and spacer should make up for the space. But he is going to a 60e so he would need the 60e flex plate.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Your buddy would not want to sell the 80E flex plate and spacer would he?

take a straight edge and lay it across the bellhousing mounting surface on the block and measure the offset to the crank. Compare it to your motor or post the measurement here and someone can give you a definite answer.
