I have a Mag-Hytech pan on mine with Stainless Works long tubes, and the clearance is tight. It might be trickey with the 3"ORY.................wait a minuite..........that's not street legal in PA, is it?..................LOL!!!!!!

Easiest answer: More capacity AND an aluminum finned pan to help with cooling, vs just cooling. Both actually would be the biggest help but don't most of the newer 1/2 tons already have an internal tranny cooler in the radiator in addition to an auxiliary trans cooler under the hood latch in front of the A/C condenser?

Thanks guys, as you know heat kills transmissions & a higher stall conv. generate more of that too. I had a derale deep pan but, lost it when the pacesetters when on ,no notch to clear 3" cross pipe.I do have the stock cooler plus a extra cooler.I think I going try the cast aluminum pan Trick flow makes it has the notch & 3 qts extra cap. See you Bill when you get back from your vacation! Hey holty where have you been .PS put truck on dyno Max power=360.35 Max torque=351.60 on Dynojet dyno at SARVER AUTO MOTIVE in sarver PA. Brian H. tune PERF. FOR LESS.

Ok the Trick Flow cast alum. pan worked
but trans cross member & the y pipe had come off. You might be better off getting a pro to do it unless you have lift & a trans support stand laying around. c'ya.

Guess what, my mechanic when installing deep trans pan raise the trans with 1/2 spacer between trans mount & cross memeber to get clearance about 1/8 inch at closest point. my question is will this 1/2 inch cause a problem?
