Yep after 88,000+ mile N/A and another 5,000 STS turbo (with temps hitting a high of 1,600 deg), the cats looked good as new. I was kinda hoping they would be pluged, but I guess this is better anyway, just kinda suprizing with the temps they had not melted, O-well I hope removing them make it louder. I'll know tomarro when I get my vert back.

just pulled mine this weekend while installing my turbo and they looked great too(77,000mi). I was also hoping to see them a little clogged.

Yeah Me and Thunder550 took his off, and when we did they were like brand new, we still ended gutting them out. he was almost reaching 100,000 on his.

It will get louder for sure. It will also spool up quicker and have more power.

Thanks,

Just thought I'd warn anyone that is going to remove the cats and has a STS Turbo, IT WILL BE LOUD. Not like loud, I can't hear that rattlen dodge diesel, but loud like the local biker gang is pist when you drive by. I think I might have to buy a muffler. And NO ONE will race me. Most likely because they don't want to loose their hearing. and I'm tired of doing the o-**** there is a cop cost. (Praying his windows are up) It also has a very bad drone (sp) at 1800 rpm.
But at WOT it sounds bad. And it spools almost instantly.
